AMZ Motors Computer, Electrical Diagnostics
The diagnostics equipment will give access to most vehicles computer systems. This will access to and be able to inspect faults on individual components or circuit boards within the vehicle.
If and when warning lights illuminate on a vehicle dashboard, a diagnostics check will identify issues your vehicle is facing that a normal inspection may not pick up.
It is common nowadays that most modern vehicles have an on-board computer known as an Engine Control Unit (ECU) which continually monitors the performance of the vehicle. Sensors all around the vehicle report back to the ECU if there are problems such as low fluid levels or increased engine temperature. When an issue is identified the ECU generates an error code. The relevant dashboard warning lights will then be displayed on the vehicle dashboard.
There are many error codes that pop up related to issues with the vehicle and can only be read by specialist vehicle diagnostic equipment. While a warning light may display on the dashboard alerting you to an issue, a diagnostics check is required to understand the full extent of the issue.
AMZ Motors have equipment for vehicle diagnostics which can read the engine fault codes in your vehicle’s ECU. On and after inspection our fully-trained technicians will suggest necessary repairs your vehicle may require.
Ask our staff in the garage for more information on your vehicle’s ECU.
